Mayor Oxford's Charity Year

Tuesday 25th July 2017
Colchester Samaritans is proud to be one of Mayor Gerard Oxford's chosen Charities for his Mayoral Year, and there are lots of events still to take place. We hope that many of you will support Cllr Oxford and the Mayoress, Cllr Beverley Oxford, who have been working tirelessly to raise funds for their six chosen Charities.

The first Charity Event in his Mayoral Year at the beginning of July was an historical lecture by eminent published historian Patrick Denney on Edwardian Colchester. This was followed by a wonderful concert at St Botolphs, Colchester, where we were entertatined by the Military Wives Choir, Chorus Iceni, Kingsland Gospel Choir, two barbershop quartets and a solo from the talented Colchester MP, Will Quince MP.
