Run for the Samaritans! Bath & District Samaritans have secured a number of places for runners at the Bath Half Marathon 2018 on Sunday 4th March.

If you would like to be a part of this wonderful event, running for us - raising some much needed funds for Bath Samaritans - email us at for more details.  We still have a few places left.

The Bath Half Marathon – or the ‘Bath Half’ as it is affectionately known - is one of the longest established and most popular city centre road events in the UK.  It is also the largest charity fundraising event in the South West region, raising over £2.2 million for charity in 2016 alone. The course itself is fast and flat making it suitable for all abilities: for beginners whose key objective is to complete the course, to more regular long-distance event runners, looking to beat their personal best time.

The course covers a two lap 13.1 mile (21.1km) traffic-free course straddling both sides of the River Avon. The race starts and finishes in Great Pulteney Street, in the heart of the World Heritage City of Bath: a spectacular place to be at any time, and especially in the atmosphere of a Half-Marathon.

If you'd like to raise money for us online as you run - and encourage others to donate to you, and us, online - you can register and create your own fund-raising page via our Virgin Money-Giving page: just click on the "Donate to this Branch" button at the top right of this page and follow the instructions: the Bath Half is one of the races registered with Virgin, so you should have no trouble finding it, registering and helping us carry on our work, offering help to tens of thousands of people a year.  And thank you!
