  • Ulveston Carnival

    Our Samaritan volunteers were at this year Ulverston Carnival. We had an official Samaritans banner that our volunteers walked with in front of our entry. Our jeep was dressed up as "Rock around the Clock 24/7" with the Flintstones theme - everyone had a fabulous time.

    The Hoad Monument was lit up green on the 23rd December 2016 to remind local people that Barrow Samaritans are there for them if they are feeling in a dark place over the Christmas period. Samaritans are there 24/7 365 days a year for anybody needing to talk,write, text or email
  • World Suicide Prevention Day - 10th September

    This World Suicide Prevention Day, Samaritans is joining forces with the founder of recent online suicide prevention campaign ITSOKAYTOTALK, Luke Ambler, to tell men in particular that It’s okay to talk. The aim is to reach as many men as possible online and offline with information about how to seek help if you need to and what support is available if you do.
