Norwich volunteer, James, and his team are taking on a 1,000-mile cycle ride from John O'Groats to Lands' End to raise £5,000 for four charities this June.
"Hello! I am James and together with a couple of my colleagues at The Original Cottage Company I'm planning a big cycling challenge to raise funds for four charities that are close to each of our hearts.
Most of us have never cycled much further than to the local shop, so this is going to be a real challenge!
Norwich Samaritans Trustee, Nic, is going to be our amazing support driver along the way, so we will be spreading the word about Samaritans literally from the very top of the country to the very bottom!

The ride starts from John O'Groats on Sunday 16th June and ends 1,034 miles later on Tuesday 2nd July at Land's End. The seventeen-day journey is divided into legs of between 40 and 85 miles, averaging 61 miles per day over the whole trip.
On each leg, we are hoping that our colleagues and other supporters will join the ride for a few miles to spur us on. Other cyclists are welcome to join any of the ride’s legs or stages to help raise funds and our spirits. We'll be avoiding major roads / A-roads as much as possible along the way. Let me know if you would like to join in at any point!
We will update you as we go so please keep an eye on our little website and blog at www.theoriginalcyclingchallenge.uk

We're very scared. We're in training already. We're gearing up. And we need your help and motivation.
If you are able to sponsor in any small way by clicking the button below, it would be really appreciated.
Thank you all for your support.
