On July 23/24 Samaritans of Kilkenny and Carlow will walk for 24 hrs from Carlow to Kilkenny.

In the middle of the night it could be your friend, family member or you who urgently needs someone to listen so they can talk. Samaritans helpline 116 123 is more crucial now more than ever.
On July 23/24 Samaritans of Kilkenny and Carlow will walk for 24 hrs from Carlow to Kilkenny along the Waterways, to highlight their 24/7service.
Your support is needed. €5 will keep our branch open 1hr. That one hour, for one person could mean everything.

WALKING ROUTE & TIMETABLE

24/7 The Listening way Walk from Carlow to Kilkenny

Friday 23rd July

  • 10am Carlow Town 16km to Bagnelstown (5hrs approx.).
  • 3pm Bagnelstown 26km to Graiguenamanagh (8hrs approx.).

Saturday 24th July

  • 12am (midnight) Graiguenamanagh 17km to Inisitoige (5hrs approx).
  • 7am Inistioge 11km to Thomastown (3hrs approx.).
  • 11.30am Bennetsbridge 10km to Kilkenny (3hrs approx.).
  • 2/3pm FINISH at the Kilkenny parade with refreshments
