Standing Order Form - Gloucester and District Samaritans

Standing Order - Gloucester and District Samaritans

Thank you very much for choosing to make a monthly standing order to our branch at Gloucester & District Samaritans.  Your local donation is vital to keeping Gloucester and District Samaritans going.  In 2010 we took over 22,000 contacts at our branch in Park End Road, which included e-mails and face to face callers in addition to telephone calls.

Outside the branch we take every opportunity to work with schools, community groups other charities and organisations.  In addition to being there for our callers, our volunteers give their time to increase awareness of our work in ways such as:

•    Attending events throughout Gloucester, the Forest of Dean and Stroud with our outreach vehicle.
•    Giving talks whenever we get the opportunity
•    Supporting Listeners in Gloucester prison to enable them to listen to prisoners who are in distress and despair
•    Delivering the DEAL (Develop Emotional Awareness and Learning).  DEAL is a programme designed to help schools to develop in their students the skills that they will need to cope with life’s challenges and to develop their emotional health and wellbeing.    Within Gloucestershire we are offering DEAL particularly where there have been instances of suicide or attempted suicide within schools.  We offer welcome support to both pupils and teachers at what is a very distressing time.

Every member of our branch gives their time freely.  This is something which we are very proud of and means you can be sure that every penny you give us will go towards enable our branch to continue to support people who are experiencing feelings of distress or despair, including those which could lead to suicide.

For this we thank you for helping us to be able to do that with your donation.

Bank: HSBC PLC
Branch: Epsom
Account name: Samaritans
Sort Code: 40-20-24

If you do not have online banking you will need to complete a form for your bank, there is one attached to this document which you can use for this purpose.

It would be really helpful if you could let our Treasurer know that you are setting up a Standing Order, this will allow him to check that the payments are coming in and that the process has been successfully set up.

If you have any questions or concerns regarding this please don’t hesitate to contact us at enquiries@gloucestersamaritans.org.

Thank you

Gift aid form

Gift Aid makes your donation worth more!

If you are a UK taxpayer, you can increase the value of your donation by almost a third simply by ticking the box below. All you have to do is indicate your permission and, thanks to the Government's Gift Aid Scheme, we will be able to claim back 28p for every £1 you have donated and help even more people.

I am a UK taxpayer and would like Samaritans to treat all donations I have made since 06-April 2000 and all donations I make hereafter, as Gift Aid donations. I understand that I must have paid an amount in income/capital gains tax at least equal to the amount Samaritans claim
back.
