Folkestone, Dover and Hythe Samaritans provide confidential, non-judgemental support.

You can talk to us, anytime you like, in your own way. You don't have to be suicidal, we're here anyone who are experiencing feelings of distress or despair, including those thoughts which could lead to suicide.

We won't judge you or tell you what to do and you can talk to us for as long as you need to, in complete confidence.

We believe that it's important to be able to talk about difficult feelings and that being listened to, and accepted without prejudice, helps alleviate feelings of distress and despair that can sometimes be overwhelming without support.

We're here for everyone, whatever your problems may be.

We make no charge for our service. All our volunteers are fully trained and we aim to be friendly, welcoming and there, just for you, whether you're local, from further afield or just visiting Folkestone, Dover or Hythe.

As a registered charity and we are always looking for volunteers.

We offer free training for our listening volunteers, but maybe you don't feel that you can take calls. You can still help us, we have a branch to run and our active friends group. The Samaritans Friends are the fundraising and awareness arm of our branch, and they always need help.

And we always need monetary support too.
We have no government funding and we are a stand alone local charity so hence we need support to keep going. If you wanted to support your local Samaritans branch, just use the donate link below. You will need to use the search facility, you just need to use FOLKESTONE, DOVER AND HYTHE SAMARITANS when searching and you will find us.
