Samaritans of Croydon and Sutton were delighted to welcome David Matthews as he passed through South London on the latest leg of his epic trek to visit all 201 Samaritans branches in the UK on foot.

David Matthews with volunteers outside Samaritans of Croydon and Sutton
On 1 June 2021, Samaritans of Croydon and Sutton became the 130th branch David Matthews has visited as part of his mammoth Listening Walk. David arrived in Croydon from the Bromley and Orpington Branch accompanied on his journey by Croydon and Sutton volunteer, Beki. He was given a warm welcome in our beautiful sunny back garden by a group of volunteers who heard more about his experiences and feasted on Liane’s excellent homemade cake.
We were delighted to welcome David to our branch and wish him the very best for the remainder of his incredible endeavour. You can follow David’s progress on Twitter, Facebook and Instagram
