Bournemouth Samaritans and District have been chosen by Community Action Network as their Community Hero in the Spotlight for April 2023
We are delighted to have been chosen, by Community Action Network, as their Community Hero in the Spotlight for April 2023. Community Action Network work in partnership with organisations and charities in the BCP and Dorset areas. Formed in 2019 merging the Voluntary Services of Bournemouth and Poole Councils, CAN have increased their membership and reach to many. April is Stress Awareness Month, raising awareness of the causes and keep the conversation going on the impact of stress. CAN recognise the importance of listening to people who are struggling emotionally. Bournemouth Samaritans will be featuring all month in CAN social media and featuring on local radio stations.
