Virtual London Marathon 21st April

Samaritans are the official charity for the TDS London marathon on Sunday 21st April. To celebrate, we will be holding our own marathon in Sainsburys, Darlington.

There will be two treadmills, for our runners to cover the 26 miles between them. please come along to support us and our collection, funds will come directly to ourselves to keep our centre on Woodland Road going.

Chris' Epic Fundraising Walk, May 24

Our director Chris is walking from John O'Groats to Darlington starting on 1st May 2024 and the link to his fundraising page is https://samaritanscommunity.enthuse.com/pf/chris-thornton/post/5292543

He is walking over 440 miles for the challenge, over the whole month of May, funding his own way, and says that if he makes £2,000 he will dye his hair green, so lets get that money rolling in. We are 40% of the way there already at £819. He will be putting up an update on facebook when he gets underway. Best of luck Chris, and hope the weather is kind.
