A little about the role...
The Head of Safeguarding will provide effective leadership and management and be responsible for developing and embedding a robust safeguarding culture so that those who come into contact with our service are protected from harm. You will be accountable for providing strategic expert advice and direction around protection of adults and children at risk and you will lead on and ensure consistent decision making, chair serious safeguarding incident panels and lead on the reporting of incidents internally, externally and to regulators as required.
To be successful in this role, you will have comprehensive knowledge of safeguarding legislation, best practice guidance and policy procedure and must be able to demonstrate extensive leadership experience in the complex world of safeguarding, with an ability to challenge, build and manage strong and effective relationships.
The successful candidate will be able to adapt quickly to a new organisation.
