About the role/person
Samaritans has an exciting opportunity for a motivated, enthusiastic individual to join our Human Resources team as an HR Business Partner. There is enormous support for people-related plans and activities at Samaritans, so this is an exciting time to join the team.
You will work within our small Human Resources team, alongside our Head of HR, HR Adviser and HR Coordinator. This role is an incredible opportunity to bring your generalist HR skills and experience to a relatively new team with big ambitions and plans. You’ll have previous experience of working in an HR Business Partner role and will be confident in HR policy and process best practice and employment law.
The role is focused on providing an excellent HR service to our paid employees at Samaritans. You will be involved in leading operational people plans and activities within your client groups and managing and responding to ER queries.
You will also lead key HR projects to continuously improve what we do and how we do it in HR. The role will be an integral part of how we embed our Samaritans behaviours of Support, Trust, Aspiration and Respect in our workplace.
You will enjoy being involved in a wide variety of work and will be able to flex between working on strategic topics and responding to the day-to-day operational demands of working in a small team. It’s a busy time in the team and you will be able to work well under pressure, whilst also feeling comfortable to ask for help when needed.
