Steve Tollerton

External Training Officer

Steve is an experienced training professional and a qualified member of the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development. Over the past 25 years he has worked for the armed forces, local government, the pharmaceutical industry and Samaritans. Steve is qualified to use the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator ® and has worked with organisations at all levels, writing and delivering training programmes.

As Samaritans External Training Officer he has designed and delivered courses specialising in communication skills to a wide range of organisations including; National Air Traffic Services Ltd, Inland Revenue, The Welsh Assembly, Citizens Advice and the Healthcare Commission.

Steve is highly skilled at training staff who work in organisations dealing with emotionally-charged situations. As a Samaritans volunteer Steve has been involved in all areas of training volunteers.
