Tamworth is a market town in Staffordshire, which had grown rapidly over the past 25 years. Tamworth is the home of the historic Tamworth Castle and Moat House and the UK's first full-sized indoor ski slope , The Snowdome. The towns main industries include engineering, tile and brick manufacture and logistics.

Tamworth Samaritans serve the local towns of:

  • Atherstone
  • Burton on Trent
  • Lichfield
  • Swadlincote

We also support the local prison, HMP Prison Swinfen Hall and have a group of six volunteers who go weekly to the prison to train offenders to be listeners. This is an extra commitment taken on by volunteers as well as their weekly telephone duty.
