Samaritans is a registered charity based in the UK and the Republic of Ireland that provides confidential, non-judgemental emotional support to any person who is suicidal or despairing. You can contact us via telephone, e-mail or face to face by visiting the branch during our opening hours.

We have a vision for a society where:

  • Fewer people die by suicide
  • People are able to explore their feelings
  • People are able to acknowledge and respect the feelings of others.

Samaritans has been offering emotional support to those in distress for over 50 years. Despite the increase in the number of help lines across the UK, Samaritans volunteers are among the very few who are still available 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.
