match
The Celebrity Soccer Six football tournament, the
most prestigious six-a-side celebrity football tournament in the
world, is at Chelsea Football Club on Sunday May 24th.

£10 juniors. Ticket sales will once again support Samaritans.

In these tough economic times Samaritans’
service is more vital than ever, as we receive an increasing number
of calls related to unemployment and financial worries. We are
hoping for a sell-out event at Stamford Bridge to enable us to
raise funds to keep our emotional support service running 24 hours
a day.”
Last year, Pete Doherty and his Babyshambles
team mates were unable to defend their title, and despite showing
some impressive foot work, Babyshambles lost out 3-1 in the final
match to the Faithless team. Anticipated rivals for the title,
McFly, crashed out of the tournament in the semi-finals.
Celebrity teams in the 2008
event included The Wombats, The Twang, Justin Hawkins and Get Cape
Wear Cape Fly, Michelle Heaton, Jade Goody, Dave Gorman,
contestants from Big Brother, X Factor, The Apprentice and
Shipwrecked. Soccer Six has also seen Oasis, Razorlight,
Robbie Williams, Rod Stewart, Ant and Dec, Ian Rush and John Barnes
take part.
