London to Paris Cycle
Cycling from London to Paris is one of the
great cycle experiences in Europe. Passing through picturesque
countryside, you will cross the Channel and continue through the
small villages and medieval market towns of Northern France. With
long days in the saddle and some strenuous hill-climbs, the sight
of the Eiffel Tower, your finishing point, will evoke a real sense
of achievement.
DAY 1: An early start from SE London
allows the team to avoid the morning traffic. The
route takes you SE away from the main routes towards Tonbridge
and on through the Kent countryside to Dover where you catch
the ferry to Calais.
DAY 2: After breakfast the
group heads south through beautiful French countryside,
along small quiet roads through villages and small towns.
Night in Arras.
DAY 3: This morning after a couple of tough
days in the saddle your legs may feel a little tired. Today,
continue south through villages and along quiet French roads to the
more forested region around Compiegne, where the night is
spent.
DAY 4: Your final day's cycling takes you
SW initially through small villages and woodland
before meeting the outskirts of Paris. The
group cycles though the Parisian streets around the Arc de
Triumph to the finish beneath the lofty arches of the Eiffel
Tower. Celebration meal.
DAY 5: Free day in Paris Eurostar home to
London
