Basingstoke-based Business Development Executive Philip
Benson, is in the final stages of training for the London Marathon
to help raise vital funds to enable emotional support charity
Samaritans to maintain its 24-hour service.
To help Philip achieve his
fundraising target you can sponsor him at www.justgiving.com/philipbenson.
Communication is key to both our organisations and we’re
really excited about the opportunities that this partnership will
create. A recent survey revealed that almost a third of England’s
youth are lying awake with worry, proving our support for people of
all ages is as vital as ever. It’s encouraging to see Motorola
employees so eager to give back to their local community. Your work
can help ensure that people have access to the support they need.
Thank you for choosing Samaritans.
Thank you to Motorola employees for their tremendous fundraising
efforts to date and to Motorola for the additional money, making
the total raised to date a whopping £126,902.89"

Payroll Giving
The easiest and most tax efficient way to
support Samaritans is to set up a monthly donation through your
payroll.
If you donate £5 a month to Samaritans through
your payroll, you are helping us to answer 2 calls for help.
And because of the tax that is reclaimed through payroll
giving, donating £5.00 to Samaritans will cost you just £4.00.
If you give £10 a month (which will cost you
£8.00) you can ensure that nearly 50 people will find someone at
the end of the phone, every year.
