Sam Volunteer Recruitment Campaign
Our
national campaign to recruit more volunteers to our 201 branches
focuses on the many different ways you can support our service by
giving a little time. This campaign is sponsored by The Vodafone
Foundation.
Our volunteers have been providing an invaluable service to
everyone who needs it, 24 hours a day, since 1953. Our national
network of branches form the backbone of our work, and from them we
reach out into the community by visiting schools, colleges and
universities, prisons, workplaces, public sector organisations and
major music festivals.
With so much happening, we’re running a campaign to find new
people to help strengthen our teams. And we work hard to make sure
that each person volunteering with us gets a lot back. What’s more,
we positively welcome enquiries from all sections of the community,
including Black and Minority Ethnic groups, people with
disabilities and members of the LGBT community.
The campaign’s objectives are to:
- present volunteering for Samaritans as a fulfilling
opportunity
- emphasise Samaritans’ desire for more night-time listening
volunteers
- raise awareness of the range of support volunteer roles
available
The campaign is made up of three executions – one that
highlights night listening, one for listening volunteers in
general, and one for support volunteers.
