Every 6 seconds someone contacts Samaritans.
Help us be there when they’re ready to talk.

It takes so much for someone to call Samaritans.

So much courage. So much pain. So much desperation. Sometimes our callers have reached the final breaking point after years of loneliness, depression, stress or even abuse. Others may be trying to cope with a sudden, traumatising event, such as the break-up of a marriage, the loss of a job or a recent bereavement.

Whatever the reason that someone calls us, it is vital that when that moment comes we are ready to answer the cry for help. That’s why our lines are open 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.

But we need your help - to keep those phone lines open.

We receive almost no Government funding for a service that provided a desperately needed lifeline for over 5.1 million people last year alone.

Please donate today, so we can continue to answer their calls.

Your gift can help save a life. Thank you. Donate online or call 0800 044 5588.
