The 2008 Annual General Meeting . . .
. . . this year has seen some terrific efforts at fund-raising, making the
branch finances look healthier than they have for a long time.
The 2008 AGM was held on the 11 June 2008 at the branch, the Mayor of Stockport was in attendance.
Sophie Andrews came to speak about her upbringing and the book that she has just published - "I wrote the book 'Scarred' for me – by that I mean it was a series of diaries, letters and poems that I had written and received that inspired me to pull it together into a book where I could tell the story of my life."
It was a moving presentation and many of the branch wanted to talk to Sophie about her life and the writing of such a difficult text. For more information see www.sophieandrews.co.uk
