Talks
One of the principal ways in which we seek to raise awareness of the role of Samaritans is by providing speakers to talk about the history, development and work of the organisation. A talk will normally last for between 30 and 40 minutes after which the speaker will be happy to answer any questions coming from the audience. In the past we have provided speakers to groups as diverse as:
- Schools
- Wine Clubs
- University of the Third Age (U3A)
- Probus, Rotary Club, Ladies Round Table and various Church groups.
We do not charge a “speakers fee” but are happy to accept any donation a group may wish to offer. If you belong to a group that may be interested in listening to one of our speakers please contact the Stockport branch on 0161 480 2222.
