Volunteering can change someone’s life… your own!

Thank you for your interest in our work and your kind offer to be considered as a volunteer.

It includes some more information on what opportunities are available, a copy of our mission, vision and values and an application form which you can print off and send back to us.

When we have received your form, we will ask you to come to the branch to have a chat with two experienced Samaritans. We then invite you to attend an assessment morning. On satisfactory completion of this process you will be invited to join our excellent and rewarding training – called Samaritans Initial Training (SIT).

Our SIT classes are run three times a year – each session covers an essential part of training so you’ll need to be able to make all dates.
