Handling Traumatic Events
Samaritans’ preventative training programme,
helping people think through issues they may confront and how to
deal with it, is outstanding. Anybody who may be confronted by
traumatic situations or events should attend – it’s a must!”
Cary L. Cooper, CBE, Distinguished Professor of Organisational
Psychology and Health
The aim of this course is to
equip teams and individuals to deal with emotionally challenging
external demands like suicide incidents. The Myers-Briggs Type
Indicator® is used to help individuals consider how they might
react to a traumatic situation. The course prepares individuals for
the impact of these difficult events, reducing stress and enhancing
the effectiveness of individuals and teams.
Samaritans’ expertise and training has
helped industry staff to manage this sensitive area."
