BECOMING A VOLUNTEER

Time to Listen

The time you give could make all the difference for someone in crisis. If you are prepared to listen patiently to another's distress, anger or despair, without judging them or giving advice, Samaritans wants to hear from you. Samaritans volunteers can be any age (over 18) and from any background, race or culture. You don't need any qualifications but you need to be:

group• a good listener

• open-minded and not judgmental

• able to carry out regular shifts

posterIf you would like to discover more about the Samaritans and the service we offer, we will be very pleased to see you at any of our Information Evenings. These are held at various convenient locations in our catchment area.
Or call 01372 375 555 for an information pack.

Recruitment Days and Training programmes are run twice a year.

For further information or to find out when our next informal open evenings will be held please call the branch on 01372 375 555 or the dedicated recruitment line on 07913 552271.
