It costs over £24,000 to run the branch for a year, so fundraising is an important part of branch life, dependent on the good will and extra work of many volunteers. Our main fundraising events this year took place on and around 24 July as part of the Samaritan National 24/7 campaign.
Events included a 24km walk through 7 towns in our area, distributing literature and collecting at
7 stations and a fabulous wine tasting and music evening at the Leatherhead Theatre (see the Latest News section for more details).
A number of local businesses have generously supported us and we are particularly grateful to W S Atkins, Cargill, Halliburton KBR, UnumProvident and Reed Business Information.
