Samaritans Citizens of the Year
Local Samaritans held the Citizens of the Year Awards event to recognise and promote the kindness and compassion of people living in the Mid-Surrey area.
The Mid-Surrey Citizens of the Year Awards have been devised by Leatherhead & Mid-Surrey Samaritans to acknowledge the wide number of people of all ages and from all walks of life who go above and beyond the call of duty, making a real difference to the community and to the lives of those around them. The Awards presentation took place on Tuesday 24th July at Denbies Wine Estate to coincide with the Samaritans 24/7 annual national awareness and fundraising day.
Comments Sheila Souchard, Director of Samaritans of Leatherhead & Mid-Surrey: “These awards are a unique opportunity to celebrate and congratulate the people who are living inspiring and selfless lives in Mid Surrey. “It’s a great opportunity for Mid Surrey to celebrate our local heroes,” concluded Sheila Souchard.
