HOW TO CONTACT US

By telephone
Our local number is 01708 740000. Alternatively, you can ring the national number, which is 08457 909090, which will connect you to your nearest available branch.

By email
You may find the idea of calling Samaritans difficult, or it may not be convenient for you to talk to someone over the telephone. If so, please consider emailing us at jo@samaritans.org and we will endeavour to respond to you within 12 hours.

Visit us in person
Samaritans of Havering welcomes visitors. Please phone for opening times and confirm that we are available. If you visit, we will arrange for a volunteer to see you as soon as possible. You will be shown to a quiet room, where you will be able to talk in private and in complete confidence to a volunteer who will listen and support you.

Disabled Access

The building is over 100 years old so cannot be adjusted to be completely user-friendly, but there is access at ground-floor level for seeing visitors, and i
nternally there is enough space to maneouvre a smaller-size wheelchair, but access to facilities is difficult.

We are located at 107 North Street, Romford RM1 1ER.

Clicking on the above map will zoom in on the location.

There are ground-floor level facilities and access for training and operational working, though internally access to some other facilities is via steps, which do have handrails.

HOW TO GET HERE

By train

The nearest train station is Romford on the London Liverpool Street line, with trains every 10 minutes. Alternatively, there is a half hourly shuttle service from Upminster, serving Emerson Park and Romford.
Find train times and information on Nationalrail.co.uk.

On foot
From Romford rail station: Turn left and keep on walking straight ahead. You will pass Romford market square on your right hand side. Keep walking straight, and you will come to a subway that takes you under a roundabout. Once you come out of the subway up into North Street, you will see Samaritans across the road diagonally to your left, in front of the pelican crossing.

By bus
There are two bus stops situated close to the branch – they are both served by a multitude of buses. (Click for route maps and timetables)

“The Avenue” bus stop (directly outside Matalan)
