Samaritans of Havering

Samaritans relies heavily on public donations to maintain the service.

It cost about £15,000 to provide the Samaritans service in Havering last year and public help is essential in providing us with the necessary financial support. All our funding comes from Donations, Fundraising Events and Legacies. All our fundraising is done by our volunteers, and unlike many other charities we get neither government nor local authority funding, nor also do we have paid fundraisers - it is the same volunteers who already make such a huge commitment in manning the phones who also perform all the fundraising and running of the branch.

As well as giving donations, there are other ways to raise money for Samaritans of Havering:
