Interested in Volunteering? - come along to our next Information Evening

If you're interested in finding out about volunteering, we're certainly interested in talking to you.

The best way is by coming to one of our regular Information Evenings - usually on the first Wednesday of the month, in the Branch, 7:30 prompt.

Information evenings are on the first Wednesday of every month.

Just come along, or better still, phone in and we'll send some advance details.

We'll explain more about volunteering at the Information Evening, but the basic pattern is a 3hr shift once a week plus some all-night duties. We especially need people at present who can do between 10am and 7pm on weekdays.

Can you help in our shop?

We also need people to help in our charity shop (see the Shop section for more details).

Training

In a series of group classes, we provide thorough preparation before you're expected to respond to callers - although the 'skills' you need are the concerns and attitudes you already have inside you. There is then regular on-going training to develop and refresh your Samaritan abilities and experience.
