London Marathon
We are pleased to report that Rob Christopher finished the London Marathon in 4 Hours 22 Minutes.  Rob has also managed to raise over £2,000 which will go directly to the Farnborough & District Samaritans.
London Marathon 13th April 2008
Rob Christopher, one of our volunteers will be running the London Marathon this year.  He has been challenged to not only complete the 26.2 Mile course, but to raise £1,750.00 too.  All this dressed as a green fairy!  If you would like to show your support for this huge undertaking then please either visit the Just Giving website to make an online donation or send a cheque made payable to "Samaritans of Farnborough and District" to: The Samaritans, Farnborough Branch, 182a Farnborough Road, Farnborough, Hants. Annual General Meeting 2008.

The Annual General Meeting of the Farnborough and District Branch of Samaritans will be held on Wednesday 23rd April 2008.  The venue will be the meeting room at the Old Court House Public House in Cove.  Map.    The meeting will commence at 19:30 and all are welcome to attend.

Golf Day July 2008.

Following the success of a fundraising golf day at Pine Ridge Golf Club in 2007 a second competition will be held in 2008.  The event will take place at Merrist Wood Golf Club on the 17th July 2008.  First Group will tee off at 09:30.  Cost per entrant is £50, which includes a bacon buttie and tea before your round and a two course dinner afterwards.  There will be a trophy for the winning team, prizes for nearest the pin and the longest drive, and a raffle.
