24 July 2006 represented a big day for Samaritans nationwide. The 24th day of the 7th month was used to represent our 24-7 campaign to highlight that Samaritan volunteers are available 24 hours a day 365 days of the year for those passing through a personal crisis, including feelings that may lead to suicide.

Coventry and District Samaritans organised an awareness day on local TV and radio as well as a display in the lower precinct in Coventry.
