History

The Coventry and District branch of the Samaritans was founded in 1964 and its first premises were in Priory Row near the Cathedral..

We left Priory Row in 1990 to make way for the archaeologists, and moved into our present centre at 57 Moor Street in Earlsdon.

The Branch is fortunate in having its own charity shop in the same building as the centre; here you can buy a wide range of donated goods - clothes, bric-a-brac, household items, books, etc - to help offset our running costs. We are very appreciative of all donations and the help and support of our shop volunteers who contribute so much to the work that we do.
