Chris Needs MBE re-opens Bridgend Samaritans!

After some extensive work carried out on the branch to comply with the Disability Discrimination Act, Chris Needs came down to Green Street to re-open the branch.

It was a lovely sunny day, the branch supplied drinks, refreshments and held a book stall while Chris provided the entertainment. His Jokes and the stories kept the volunteers and vistors entertained until it was time to cut the ribbon.

After the ribbon was cut, Chris had his photo taken along side a commemorative plaque, which is mounted on the wall inside the Samaritan centre. We then proceeded into the branch where the director (Martin) and Chris both had a few words to say.

We would like to thank Chris, members of the public and volunteers, who attended to make the day a great success.
