Southend Samaritans
Opening in 1963, Southend Samaritans has been supporting the community from Shoeburyness to Benfleet and the surrounding areas, for over 50 years. We have over 80 volunteers some having been with us for more than 40 years.
Our shop at 38 Hamlet Ct Rd, is fully supported and run by volunteers and raises funds to enable our branch to remain open so we can continue to support our callers and those in the local community.
We have worked in partnership with Southend Borough Council, HARP Southend and Network Rail, including C2C and Greater Anglia. We have been out in the community working with Schools/Education, Village Green, Southend Pride and more. To find out what we have been doing recently, have a look at our newsletter.
