Give as you Live

Did you know that you could donate to the Leyton branch whilst shopping? It so easy to raise funds for the branch when you shop online Give as You Live, you can raise money for our Samaritans branch at any time of year, without it costing you a penny! Over 4000 online stores give a % of what you pay for your shopping/tickets/holiday booking to the charity of your choice - eg Ocado, Tesco, Ebay, Asos, John Lewis, M&S, Argos, Waitrose, Trainline .....the list goes on! You can also download a "donation reminder" so that when you go to a website to shop, you're automatically reminded if you can raise a donation.

The way it works is that before you start shopping, you go to the Give as you Live site - you create an account, select the charity you want the stores to donate to (Samaritans of Waltham Forest please!) and then just pick the store you want to shop at - the site will then take you to the shop's website. 

When you've bought something, you'll get a notification of how much you've raised. Although the percentages don't look huge, they really add up - lots of you are doing this already and we've raised nearly £7000 this way so far, but as you know, we can always use more! If you can get any friends or family on board with this, even better - it will be a huge help in keeping us going while times are tough.
