With your help we can reduce the number of people who die by suicide.
Bexley & Dartford Samaritans provides emotional support to about
30,000 callers every year. To provide this help to the
distressed, desperate and suicidal costs over £20,000 per year
and requires the generously given time of more than 50
volunteers.
There are many ways in which you might help us.
* Can you provide
financial support?
* Fundraise for us
/Make a donation
* Help us in your work
place
* Colleges, clubs and
societies

Can you
provide financial support?
You can either
make a donation or
fundraise for Bexley &
Dartford Samaritans. If you can help us with a donation or help us
with a fundraising event it would be gratefully appreciated by our
volunteers and ultimately our callers. Funds will go to help with our
running costs, our phones, and our outreach and awareness costs.
Make a
donation
On average, it costs
Samaritans £2.29 every time a volunteer responds to a contact. If you are
able, then please support us today.
There are four easy ways to donate money to Samaritans:

Set up a regular
donation
-
Give a one-off
donation (via JustGiving.com)
-
Give through your
payroll

Gift Aid
You can also make your money go further. Using Gift Aid means that
if you're a UK taxpayer, for every pound you give, we get an extra 28 pence
from the Inland Revenue, helping your donation go further This means that
£10 can be turned into £12.80 just so long as donations are made through
Gift Aid. Imagine what a difference that could make, and it doesn't cost you
a thing. You can complete a Gift aid declaration form from the main
Samaritans website.
However,
if you would like to donate directly to the Bexley and Dartford branch
Please send a
cheque (made payable to "Bexley and Dartford Samaritans") to:

Fundraising
There are many different ways you can
help us raise vital funds.
The main idea is that people have fun, while at the same time raising
funds and promoting Samaritans’ message. The funds raised will help with
our training, phone line, outreach and awareness etc.
If you can help us with fundraising events or street collections then we
would love to hear from you. We will give you all help possible with
fundraising packs, posters, publicity, etc.
If you are being sponsored for something we can even help you with your
own on-line sponsorship page.
