What is the structure of Samaritans?

Samaritans has 201 branches across the UK and Republic of Ireland.

Samaritans employs around 80 full-time staff who are responsible for the day to day running of the organisation at a national level, implementing the decisions taken by the trustees of the charity. We also have Directors in Ireland and Wales and a Scottish Development Officer based in Dundee.

In addition to their responsibilities at a national level, each branch director is legally responsible as a trustee for their own branch. All 202 Samaritans branches are charities in their own right.
