ASSOCIATE VOLUNTEERS

Our Associate Samaritans provide valuable support to the branch not only through fundraising & administration but also by promoting the work of Samaritans. In the last year a total of £8660 was raised by various means including stalls, collections, static boxes, and a number of one-off events.

As can be seen from our fund raising accounts the breakdown of our sources of income is as follows: Collections continue to be a large source of income, contributing about £2819. Static boxes about £490, Stalls contributed £1072, and the rest is raffles, sale of Christmas cards and special events. Some of the more notable events this year were our sponsored walk (£592), Jamie Callum collection (£1727) Waterstones gift wrapping (£575). A mention must also go to Dean 1153 for arranging a grant of £500 from British Airways.

Our thanks go to all who organised the events or helped us during the year. And hope that we can rely on your continuing support during the coming year. We are always looking for more help and new ideas to make money for the branch, So if you have a few hours to spare you will be more that welcome to come along and join us.
